This Privacy Policy explains how Griffin Network Solutions Ltd (“Griffin”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the Griffin Client mobile application (“App”) and the griffinnetwork.co.uk website (“Website”).
1. What Griffin Client is
Griffin Client is a connection profile client. It allows users to import and use compatible network connection configurations supplied by a third-party provider, organisation, or network administrator. Griffin Client does not include a VPN subscription and does not itself provide access to third-party servers.
2. Information processed by the App
The App may process information that you deliberately provide, such as connection profile names, server addresses, credentials, routing settings, and related configuration data. This information is required to create the connection you request.
Connection configuration is intended to be stored on your device and used to operate the App. We do not use imported profile contents for advertising or sell them to third parties.
3. Network traffic
Griffin Client does not operate the destination server selected in your imported profile. Traffic is routed according to the configuration you choose. The operator of that server, your internet provider, platform provider, and other network participants may process information under their own policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party profile or server providers.
We do not sell browsing history, DNS queries, destination addresses, or the content of network traffic processed through the App.
4. Accounts and analytics
The core Griffin Client connection experience does not require a Griffin account. We do not use cross-app behavioural advertising in the App.
Apple or Google may process download, purchase, crash, and device information as part of their app distribution platforms. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and settings.
5. Website information
When you visit the Website, our hosting and security providers may automatically process limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, and security events. This data is used to deliver the Website, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. We do not use the Website to sell personal information.
6. Support communications
If you contact us, we process the information you include in your message, such as your name, email address, device type, App version, and description of the issue. We use this information to reply, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and maintain support records.
Please do not send passwords, private keys, full connection credentials, or sensitive profile links in a support message.
7. Legal bases
Where UK or European data protection law applies, we process personal data as necessary to provide requested services, comply with legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as security, fraud prevention, support, and service improvement. Where consent is required, we will request it.
8. Retention
We retain support and business communications only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and security. Website security logs are retained according to our hosting and security providers’ operational settings. You can remove imported profiles from the App using its controls or by deleting the App.
9. Sharing
We may share limited information with service providers that help us host the Website, distribute the App, secure our systems, or deliver support. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction. We do not sell personal data.
10. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and to complain to a data protection authority. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity.
12. Children
Griffin Client is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Local age requirements may be higher.
13. Security
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect information we control. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and users should protect their devices and connection profiles.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, law, or our practices. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date.
