These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Griffin Client, provided by Griffin Network Solutions Ltd (“Griffin”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading or using Griffin Client, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Griffin Client is software that enables users to import and run compatible network connection profiles. Griffin Client is not a VPN subscription, internet service provider, or guarantee of access to any server, website, or online service.
2. Your profiles and third-party providers
You are responsible for obtaining permission to use each profile, credential, server, and network you configure. Third-party providers are independent from Griffin. Their availability, performance, security, billing, and policies are outside our control.
3. Acceptable use
You must use Griffin Client lawfully and responsibly. You must not use it to violate law, infringe rights, gain unauthorised access, distribute malware, disrupt systems, evade valid security controls, or facilitate harmful or abusive activity.
4. Device permissions
The App may request operating-system permission to create a VPN or network extension configuration. This permission is necessary to establish the connection you select. You can revoke permissions through your device settings, but the App may then be unable to connect.
5. Updates and availability
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features to improve security, compatibility, or performance. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every profile, or available on every device or in every location.
6. Intellectual property
Griffin Client, its design, software, branding, and related materials are owned by Griffin or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended purpose.
7. No professional advice
Information in the App and Website is provided for general product and support purposes. It is not legal, compliance, cybersecurity, or professional advice.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Griffin Client is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim implied warranties including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, and compatibility with third-party services.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Griffin will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses; loss of data, profits, business, goodwill, or opportunity; or issues caused by third-party profiles, servers, providers, networks, devices, or services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Indemnity
Where permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims and losses arising from your unlawful use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.
11. App-store terms
Your use of the App may also be governed by the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms. The platform provider is not responsible for third-party profiles or services configured through Griffin Client.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may restrict access to Griffin-operated services where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or material breach of these Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction where legally permitted.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. The effective date above indicates the latest revision. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
